nose upturned with pouty lips
"I will fly away"
I took this picture of my daughter standing in front of an abstract painting that I made several years ago. I often try to do abstract paintings, but whenever I do- the figurative painter in me becomes bored and unhappy with the finished product. I have always felt that the painting has needed something. For some reason, I keep seeing a large close up view of my daughter pouting at the bottom of the painting.. so the other day, I had her stand in front of it and make a little pouty face. She is pretty good at those. I had some fun with photoshop and ended up with this. I still want to do a painting on the bottom- but life is a bit too hectic to take that on for now.
I am so happy to be able to be back sharing haikus!

I had five little imps like that though all are grown now!! Very nicely done! Cathy
When your site popped up, all I saw was the topmof the painting. I liked it and immediately wondered if you were the artist.mI am amazed at the talent and creativity of the artists I encounter through Rebecca's and othert's blogs.
then I saw the face. I can see it was tinkered with as far as it being first, a phograoph. But it was staged? I have four Grandkids that live with me and I know a performance from the real thing. Thismone could have fooled me. She looks real pouty!
Good stuff!
Peace.
This is absolutely amazing, and that it’s all your own work, all come from your own imagination and creativity, makes it all the more special. Thanks for sharing this.
All the best, Boonie

Love the haiku Meri! and to Mystical Teacher, she only threatens to fly away. Lucky for me- she doesn't really want to.
Hurray! I am happy you've returned to the Haikus, as well. Love the painting - and the imp! Happy New Year! Theresa
